SHOP
HOP QUILT CLASS
JULY 12TH 10-3
We are
going to have the class on Saturday the 12th of July. It will be a five
hour class. You will see the Quilt when you come in for Shop Hop. I am
sure you will all want one so we are scheduling the class now…..You will
need to sign up soon as space is limited.
This quilt is beautiful and pretty simple to make. You won't want to
miss this one…
The theme this year is "Once Upon A Time" We chose the story "Goose
Girl" You can also visit our new and only Children's Book Store in
Tooele, "The Purple Cow". She has the book "Goose Girl". We are very
excited about Shop Hop and our Quilt.
OPEN CLASSES FOR JULY ARE:
THURSDAY THE 17TH 6-9
SATURDAY THE 26TH 10-1
Open
classes are designed for any project that you may have started and need
help with.
If you have been attending classes and missed one this is a good time to
catch up.
We normally have two or three open classes each month. Watch the
schedule.
Vickie Petersen or Marta Johnson will be at the shop to assist you with
your project.

X BLOCK CLASS
SATURDAY JULY 19TH, 10-1
This X Block is a new ruler designed to make
all different quilt designs. We will have a demo at Shop Hop and then a
class to teach you how to use it. There are some cute patterns designed
specifically for the X Block. We have several at the shop. Make it a
point to come see this.
APPLIQUE CIRCLE
JULY
MONDAY 16TH 6-9pm
THIRD TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH.
This class is to assist you with hand appliqué. Bring in any project
that you have started or would like to start. If you do not have a
project to work on, Marta has designed one and we have kits for that in
a few different colors.
We have a lot of pillow patterns and other books with hand appliqué
projects. This is a relaxing way to spend an evening with friends. Feel
free to bring a snack if you want to.
This class is taught by Marta Johnson. This would be a great time to get
help with some of the setting blocks for the $5 BOM…

QUILTERS SPECIAL
OCCASIONS CLASS
Classes Will Begin Soon
This is a new book from
Scraps of Time. This book has 12 darling wall hangings for different
holidays and special occasions. We have a couple of them hanging in the
shop. This class is also a monthly class.
You will need to purchase the book (Quilters
Special Occasions) and the
kits are available at the shop for about $10.00.
You do not have to do all of the projects, if you want to do just one or
two please feel free to come and join in when the classes start.
This class will be taught by Marta or Vickie

BEGINNING QUILT CLASS WILL BE HELD
ON TUESDAYS THIS TIME.
JULY 8, 15, 22, 29
This class is a four week
class and is geared to teach the beginner the basics of quilting.
You will learn how to pick fabric, cut fabric, pick the correct needles,
and thread. You will learn all of this and make a project while you are
learning. This Month your project will be a table runner. You should be
on your way to finishing it in the four classes. You must sign up for
this class. You will need to bring your sewing machine and if you don't
have one you can use machines we have in the shop for $5.00 each time.
This class has been a great success in the past. If you have ever wanted
to quilt this is the "get you started" class…This class is taught by
Marta and Vickie.
AFFAIRS OF THE HEART, BOM
(BLOCK OF THE MONTH) CLASS.
NO CLASS IN JULY
 THIS
CLASS IS SCHEDULED FOR THE FIRST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH.
This class consists of 36 blocks on black background fabric. This is
an appliqué class. You can choose to hand appliqué or machine appliqué
your blocks.
 You
will need to purchase the book (AFFAIRS OF THE HEART) and your
background fabric. We are on the 26TH block . This has been a very
exciting class and the blocks are beautiful. The class is being taught
by Sam.
